#Gratuitousnonhumanty may be the only chatroom in existence on dA that condones the use of Chat Speak.  If you wish to become a member here, of even be really accepted by the community, please, please, PLEASE do not use chat speak.  We at GNH know chat speak is not entirely avoidable, so we have composed a list of acceptable phrases to use, and a list of chat speak that is entirely unacceptable.

List of Allowed Chat Speak
- brb
- wb
- ok (but do not get this confused with 'k.'  k is allowed, but please do not use it excessively.  It'll have to ban it if it is.)
-  lol
- lmao (lmfao) [But do not use these too often or it will be taken away.]
- wtf
- ftw
- pwn
- afk
- omg (If in good humor.  And not in excess)

Speaking of, anything used in excess or abused will result in it getting taken away.  The only set chat speak allowed is brb, afk,  wb, and ok.  

also allowed are normal abbreviations.  like BBQ or FBI or DC.  Things like that are allowed.  We're not that picky.  

This list is subject to change.  If you some how get the idea to use other chat speak, please clear it with either the overlord of an active minion.

-anything with numbers in it.  Including leet.

You get the idea.  My brain doesn't process chat speak enough to even come up with any more than that.  I'm sorry.  

A Note on this Addition to the Rules
I know this will be a hard adjustment for some.  It is very unprofessional for the people of GNH to use something as distasteful as chat speak, in my, Skylar Moore's, opinion.  If you want to become a member here, you'll have to uphold out rules.  If you use chat speak in excess, you will be denied membership.  We understand mistakes.  We're forgiving.  Do not abuse our forgiving nature, or you will not be receiving it again.  Failure to comply to these rules will result in disciplinary action.  You will be warned, kicked, and then banned.  We are not messing around.  
You have a few warnings.  If you use them, you're gone.  Got it?

For Current Members
When we made you a member of the community, we asked a few simple rules of you.  Some of you cannot follow them.  If you continue to not follow them, you will demoted back to guests.  I am sorry, but this is necessary.  If you do not obey the rules, why should anyone else?  GNH is not an anarchy.  It is your responsibility to enforce the rules as a member, read the rules and be familiar with them, and keep with the pleasant attitude that GNH is getting known for.  Please don't make Skylar be the bad guy and demote you.  You know how much it tears her up to be mean.  

Replying to this Journal
It is also your job as members to respond to these things once they hit your inbox.  We will have no community if you do not do this.  In this current journal, it would be appreciated if you could add some chat speak we forgot that is either acceptable or unacceptable.  You should know Skylar enough by now to know what she deems considerable, but please submit it here as well.  Not everyone knows her well enough, and they need the clarification.
